And now, another winner- my quilt!
Elizabeth and I went to a seminar with, and for, creative folks back in April. It was a great 3 days. We even got a goodie bag full of stuff from other participants and outside sponsors.
One of the sponsors was YLI- they gave each of us three spools of Star thread.
They challenged us to create a small quilt using the thread in creative ways.
Hmm. Sounds fun!
So I had some great ideas. I came home, put the thread away and promptly forgot about it.
Oops!
So, when I saw the reminder email- I got to work!
I picked some fabric to go with the thread…
Did a little piecing.
Started sewing some leaves…
Luckily Lily helped!

It is a heart stopper, that’s for sure! I love that you chose the fabrics to match the thread instead of the other way around.
Thank you! It was a fun challenge to try to come up with a quilt to use the threads I was given. I think I am going to have play around with this quilt some more and maybe come out with a pattern. The quilt has been traveling and I don’t get to see it anymore so I guess I need to make a new one!

I am so glad you like my quilt! I have not put a pattern together; I keep meaning to. And no kit. However, it is on my list to get the pattern together and I will post when it is available. Who knows- maybe I can find similar fabrics around to create some kits!
