Okay. Obsession is not just a perfume by Calvin Klein! I have a slight one with pincushions! Is there a rehab for this addiction?
This is a small sampling of the quick to make squares – a few were given as door prizes at guild shows and shop hops. Nice treat.
Of course, animals – those wonderful chickens! A rabbit and a mouse (hard to see because of fabric)
And since we once had a bunny as a pet, I was on a rabbit kick. Bought a kit years ago from Bunny Hill with some wonderful wool, trim, buttons, and even a thimble for the bunny to hold! Ahh, another project for the “to do” pile!
I even have a package of crushed walnuts ready to go for filling – helps keep the pins sharp. My friend Sharon and I always were searching for “lizard litter” – we think available at pet stores – which really was crushed walnuts. That was our running joke for pincushion projects.
This is only a select few … needless to say there are some pincushion patterns in the pattern collection.
But now comes the “obsession confession”… guess what is next to my sewing machine that I probably use the most?
Yep, just a little ceramic bowl that is the convenient catch all. Oh well, I shall still have fun looking for great pincushions.
Happy pining to all!
