Welcome to Day 2!
Did you make it over to C&T’s blog yesterday? If not, pop over quick and enter their giveaway and then come back.
Today you will head over to visit with Jackie Kunkel of Canton Village Quiltworks. For those of you who may not know Jackie, she is a quilter, a certified Judy Niemeyer instructor and has an amazing website with lots of great fabrics and other quilty stuff. I met Jackie years ago in Connecticut at a wonderful quilt store in Canton CT.
And since Jackie is from CT, today we will highlight one of our Connecticut quilt makers, Laura McCarrick. Laura is one of the owners of a terrific quilt store in Vernon CT called Quilting by the Yard. She is also an amazing machine quilter. She has quilted a few of our quilts in the past and she quilted one of our quilts for the book, Line Dance.
In our book, we have a Gallery section, where we asked some of our quilting friends to make their own version of our quilts. So for that, Laura made her own version of our quilt Mediterranean Mosaic and called it Spring Mosaic. Here is the center of her quilt- isn’t it great!
Thank you Laura!
Head over to Jackie’s blog and have fun checking out her site! And don’t forget to enter on her blog for a chance to win a book!
See you tomorrow.
Happy quilting,
Kate
