Happy 4th of July weekend and a magazine giveaway!

Hi friends!

I hope you are all planning some fun stuff this 4th of July weekend. We hope to have friends over one day this weekend and I am going to get some sewing in as quilting is always fun stuff! 

I have not made it out and about on my bicycle yet this season, so maybe that will happen. So many possibilities.

I wanted to show you my latest project in the August/September issue of McCall’s Quick Quilts. The magazine just hit the newsstands this week so you may not have seen it yet.

The project is called Beanstalk and I used fabrics from the Uppercase line by Janine Vangool for Windham Fabrics to make mine. The colors remind me of summer- the cool blues of the sky and water with a pop of hot orange to remind one of bright summer flowers. Or a really hot, sunny day!

I will be in Massachusetts  at Dragonfly’s Quilt Shop, 799 S Main St #17b, Bellingham, MA  on Friday July 22 from 11am to about 1pm. I will be signing books, showing off quilts, demonstrating my Braid Template… so if you are in the area, come say hi!

I will also be in Connecticut for a few days and I hope to pop in to a couple of quilt shops. Maybe I will see you there?
