Besides picking our real tree this evening…..
I have been busy making some adorable Festive Fir wall hangings for family and friends. Kate originally designed this great banner for her son Sean and his wife Rea who live in Scotland. It was a great “tree” for their student housing apartment and a warm reminder of Mom’s talent!
Here are a few of the fun fabrics that I have used. Traditional, fun, batik…the choices are endless. A few of my background fabrics are reminiscent of snow. Excuse the basting pins, random threads. These are WIP’s!
Look at the fun metallic threads that I will be using to add that seasonal sparkle!
Also, what a fun collection of buttons to embellish – mini buttons, stars, little Christmas lights. What about making a snowman tree? The possibilities are endless.
