So, the big fam
ily vacation is over. Sigh. Hubby and the boys- and their respective wife/girlfriend- left yesterday. It seemed to go so quickly- and we were so busy! We went to the zoo, spent time at the organic farm where my daughter works (that is their sunflower picture), had some famous Pepe’s pizza, and ….we just did stuff!
Saturday, I did a book signing at The Yankee Quilter in Seymour and I got to see a few old friends. What fun that was. Thank you to everyone who came out and to Cheryl and Barb for having me.
Yesterday, in the scorching heat, we had a family BBQ at my daughter’s house. It was so nice to see so much family and close friends who feel like family.
Every now and then, someone would disappear into the house to cool off in the air conditioning and then return a while later! I volunteered to do some dishes so I could escape the heat.
I am sticking around in CT for another week so see some friends, travel to NY state to do a book signing at The Joyful Quilter on Friday night and teach class on Saturday. Should be fun; will I see you there?
