Have you seen my latest quilt in Quiltmaker magazine? This has been a fun series that I have been doing with them. They are all one-block quilts; change the setting of the blocks and you can change the look of the quilts. Easy peasy!
This one is called Contours. It really is a fun block- basically a paper pieced kaleidoscope block but we put the colors in different spots than the “norm” to create 2 sides of the block. That is how we got such great movement in the quilt.
The fabrics in this quilt are really wonderful; they are all from Robert Kaufman- some from the Black and White and Studio Stash Yarn Dyes collections by Jennifer Sampou with a little Fusions Confetti and Quilter’s Linen thrown in.
And Quiltmaker is doing something else fun- they have kits of my quilt and they created a few videos. Here is a link to the issue slide show. And here is a link to a slideshow about Contours!
This is one of the other quilts I have done with them called Spring Mosaic, which was in their May/June issue. I love the colors in this one! But then, if you know me, you know I love blue. I did not know it, but they did a video on this one as well. Click here to see it.

Love the patterns. I am working on a dog bed of all things, and putting far too much detail in it. I’ll be upset if the dog chews it up, but it will make my son happy.

Congratulations on having your quilts in Quiltmaker. I’m a big fan of the colour blue, too. And I love the contrast of colours in Mosaic, The addition of yellow really makes it sparkle.
