Hi friends!
Today is day 3 of the #31dayblogchallenge2018. I was going to post about the projects I am working on this week but instead I am going to explain why some days I seem to “work” all day but don’t really get much done!
Some of you probably call it shiny object syndrome but, as I am not much of a bling girl, I call it the Squirrel syndrome. And I am going to bet some of you can relate.
I started out my morning as I usually do, checking emails, responding and organizing my daily To Do list. Then I checked out Facebook. And that is when it all fell off the rails!
First I went down the rabbit hole of interesting posts and pretty quilts and “Oh look!- I want to make that…” “Oh look! – I like that fabric…” “Oh Look! that would look great in my house this Christmas…. ” and then there were the messages in messenger and next thing you know it is 10am, I have not had breakfast, I have not sewn a thing and I have not checked off one thing on my To Do list!
Does that ever happen to you?
I did get my block 3 of the #christmascountdownsewalong done after I ate.
By the way- those little HSTs- they finish at ½”! Craziness!
My designer friend Joanne of Fat Quarter Gypsy posted today about a typical Monday as a pattern designer. Check out her post here.
Now I am off to sew some more- and yes, Joanne, I am sewing today. I will act like Scarlett O’Hara and think about computer work tomorrow!
And maybe I will watch a Christmas movie on Netflix while I sew.
happy quilting,
Kate
p.s. How cute is this?
Two kittens and a pup all cuddled up together.
