This past weekend we finally redeemed my husband’s Christmas present. I had given him the opportunity to drive a really cool high end sports car. The choice was an Aston Martin, Ferrari or Lamborghini. He chose the “Lambo”.
My observation was that only men were experiencing the “drive”. There were no women in the line for the car, we were just sideline cheerleaders.
Then it dawned on me that our “Pedal to the Metal” is our sewing machines!!!
And I know that a lot of us have more than one machine: we have our everyday machine that stays put, that great lightweight machine that we can take to class or retreats. And then how many of us have an wonderful antique machine that they inherited from a family member?
So the question of the day is “What is your Pedal to the Metal” machine of choice? A Ferrari or a Bernina? A Lamborghini or a Viking? A Fiat or a Pfaff?
