Celebrate National Craft Month

February 29, 2016July 27, 2020 2 comments

Happy Leap Year!

Lucky-7mini

March and National Craft Month will be here tomorrow. And March has a few holidays. For the Irish, St Patrick’s Day is this month. And if you are not Irish, did you know that on March 17th everyone is Irish? At least for the day!

March is the month when spring officially arrives. At the end of March is Easter. And March is also the birthday month for both of my sons; a very special month indeed! Such sweet boys.

I don’t want this blog to be all about sales. I want it to be about things that are helpful to you and fun. About living a life that allows time for creating, crafting, family and discovery.

But, for the next 2 weeks- February 29th thru March 13th, Craftsy is having a special sale to celebrate National Craft Month. I mentioned this in the newsletter this past weekend, but before you say “another sale?”, let me explain why this one is a little different.

Sale C

This is an instructor sale which means that they are not advertising this sale in the general media. So, the difference is, if you sign up for a class thru my instructor link , you will be entered for a chance to win $1000 for your favorite craft related charity.

Nice, huh?

If you don’t use an instructor link, you won’t be entered into the drawing.

Have you ever signed up for a class at Craftsy? Truly there are so many really cool classes and not just quilting. Cooking, gardening, painting, jewelry making, wood working… knitting, crocheting, spinning…so many different areas with great classes. And Craftsy will give you a 100% refund if you don’t enjoy the class, so you have nothing to lose. Get a 25% discount today using this link:
goo.gl/zvYLYx.

Back in January, I attended the first ever Craftsy Instructor Summit. It was a great weekend.

And I met some really wonderful, creative people as well. One of them was Zoe Francois. Zoe has a few classes on Craftsy including this one that I have been watching, Artisan Bread in Minutes.

I can’ t wait to try it! I just need a couple of supplies (like flour) and I am making bread. She is so easy to watch; she has a lovely, relaxed way of chatting and explaining how to make the bread. And it really does look pretty easy.

Doesn’t this look yummy?

Yummy rolls!

Another class I have been watching is called Love your Vegetables and the instructor is Anna Bullett. Since I have a daughter who is an organic farmer (and a quilter), I really should be better about my veggies. My daughter has even gotten me to eat beets, which previously I thought were rubbery and yucky. She was right- fresh, roasted beets are amazing! This class has a bunch of great recipes and tips on using veggies from every season, including my favorite eggplant.

Love your veggies

I would love to grow some veggies. But I live in a townhouse with a deck not a yard. But it is a pretty good size deck so maybe this class,  Vegetable Gardening: Innovative Small Space Solutions will help me to grow some veggies on my deck. I will have to check it out.

Craftsy has lots of classes in different areas and I have to admit that I have enjoyed every class I have watched.

The other part of this sale? Well, it is an instructor incentive sale. If anyone who has never taken a class at Craftsy before clicks on my affiliate links and signs up for a class, I get entered into a drawing as well. But even if you are not new to Craftsy, if you sign up thru my affiliate links, I get credit.

And maybe you will win some money for charity. Not a bad deal.

Off to make some dough for bread. I can’t wait!

happy quilting,

Kate

p.s. Many of you know I am a Craftsy instructor. My class, 3 Blocks, 30 Quilts, is always 50% off with my link here.
