Changes

How are you all? How was your weekend? I hope you did something fun.

On Sunday, hubby and I went with a couple for friends to a local brewery. It was a lot of fun. Breweries seem to be popping up all over the place around here. And while I am not a big drinker, it was still fun. (Though I think the Celestial Seasonings tour that I did with my daughter last February was more my style! What can I say- I like my tea!)

Now that I am in business on my own, I have had to make a few decisions. For those of you who don’t follow us on Pinterest, Twitter or Instagram, this will not matter to you. But for those that do, I have been managing 2 accounts for each platform for a while. It is hard- am I posting on Seams Like a Dream or on Kate Colleran? Or both? Log in; log out. I have better things to do!

So I am combining accounts. On Twitter, you will find all tweets at @KateColleran. On Pinterest, I am moving all my boards from pinterest.com/kccquilt to pinterest.com/seamsdreams. (It will take a while but that is the plan!) And on Instagram, I will be posting pics at kccquilt and stopping seamslikeadreamquilts.

I know- craziness! The business of being connected on all these platforms can be daunting. I want to stay in touch with all my quilting friends, but I also want to spend time quilting and designing. I am hoping by making some simple changes, I can do more for you.

What’s coming up? Starting this Wednesday (in the newsletter I said Tuesday- oops! my bad!) is the Splash of Color book blog hop. I am posting on Wednesday. I will show off a quilt top I made using one of the designs from Jackie’s book.

There are chances to win a book every day, on each stop on the hop, so that is a lot of chances!

 

Next week, on Sept 27th while the hop is still going on, I will be guest blogging over on the McCall’s Quilting magazine blog. And there is a great fabric giveaway associated with that. I will post a link when it is up.

And then, on Sept 30th, I will have my own giveaway of 2 copies of the McCall’s Quilting magazine here on the blog. Wow- lots of stuff to take a chance on winning!
