Oh my goodness! I am in love!
Have you made a quilt with any of the Shannon cuddle fabrics? I never had. Really.
But back in May at Quilt Market I had a chance to chat with the folks from Shannon Fabrics and now I can say, I am in LOVE! This stuff is sooooooooooo soft. So soft. So yummy.
This is my first official quilt made in cuddle. It was made from a kit for the top fabrics and I added a dimple in lilac for the back. It still needs binding but then it will be done. And then it is going to a friend of my daughter’s for her new baby!
I decided I had to play more, so I am designing a quilt pattern using the cuddle. And here is my group of lovely, soft cuddle fabrics. A slightly more grown up palette- though only a little. Still sweet, still pretty. This one is for me! And for my pattern cover of course!
I love the embossed aqua and the white texture. It adds a little something to the quilt.
If you have not used cuddle fabrics before, let me tell you, Shannon has a lot of great information on their website on how to use it and tips and tricks. Click here to go to their website and see their tips and tricks . They have some videos as well; click here for that link.
My friend Jenny Kae also has some great tips on her website- check out her blog post here.
I will keep you posted on my quilt’s progress. It’s gonna be great!
happy quilting,
Kate
