Kate has returned from her Scotland and East Coast trip and I have returned from the multi-generation week in Myrtle Beach. Even though I have been back to work for two weeks, it is definitely hard to readjust!

As posted previously, trophies were made for our family contests. Most shark’s teeth collected went to my husband. We are proudly displaying the beautifully enhanced Pez dispenser on the family room mantel. My nephew and brother-in-law tied for the miniature golf trophy. At least they live in the same house so it truly is a family award.
Any way, as I get back to the grind of the “real” life – yard work, laundry, work – it is so tempting to just pack up and head back to the beach. Even the house across from the one we rented had a quilt block on the deck.
So Ma, do I have to go back to reality? Would love to set up a sewing machine, crack the sliding glass door to hear the waves, and sip a glass of iced tea!
Elizabeth – a wannabe beach girl!
