Quilt Market is over and usually Elizabeth and I would have already been on a plane and home, back into the fray. This time though, we decided to take a couple of days and discover parts of Portland.
the Japanese Gardens
and the Rose Garden. So much fun.
What a wonderful view of Mt Hood from the Japanese Garden. It looks like part of the clouds at first glance.
Today we are off to the art museum and Powells.
Powells is supposedly a huge bookstore (or actually, 5 bookstores in the Portland area) and that could be dangerous. Book stores are almost as much fun as quilt stores. There is no room left in our suitcases, but we hear they will ship home for us! Woo hoo! Let the shopping begin.
happy quilting,
Kate
