It’s time to introduce ANOTHER new batik fabric line and FQ bundle giveaway! Woot! Woot!
Meet Just Dandy!
Just Dandy – the fabrics
The new batik line was inspired by one of my favorite places, the garden! (I know, what a shocker, right?)
I was scrolling through images of all my flower pictures and I really wanted to capture that wispy feel of the dandelion seeds blowing away, of dragonflies flitting about, of flowers and seeds blowing around in the breeze…
Dandelions are seen as bad and invasive but they are great as early pollinators for the bees.
So from that inspiration came dandelion seeds, flowers, dragonflies and other flower heads floating on bright, springy backgrounds!
And I love that while my inspiration came from the garden and the blue sky above, IB found this great underwater image that perfectly captures the colors of the fabrics!
How fun!
The Quilts
I created 2 new quilt patterns using the fabrics. Both quilts are remakes of designs that I had but were waiting on a fabric line to help them shine!
Cross Trail
Cross Trail starts with a 10″ square pack of fabrics.
It uses the pack and then 4 coordinating fabrics to create this stunning design. For my quilt, I used a teal, white, light green and light blue. They worked out perfectly!
Dixie Twirl
Dixie Twirl is a design that I created at the beginning of the block remix series I did on Instagram. I have been wanting to make the block into a quilt for ages and I am so glad I waited for the Just Dandy fabrics.
The block is a remix of the basic snowball block and I love how it looks in these fabrics.

I absolutely LOVE your new fabric line, Just Dandy. And I love the Denver Botanical Garden! My favorite quilt patterns are Swish Fish and Madras. I’d forgotten about all the Madras plaid blouses I had in high school! And the pan protectors are gorgeous! I have way too much fabric in my stash but I would certainly love to add Just Dandy to the pile. I think it would be lovely in the one dozen baby quilts I donate to Angel Tree and the Salvation Army every Christmas.
