Hi friends!
SO…… have you started planning for the holidays? I haven’t. And if I don’t think about it soon, I know I am going to get overwhelmed by last minute gift decisions!
To help you all with your gift giving plans, I teamed up with Joanne of Fat Quarter Gypsy and Swirly Girls and Kris Poor of Poorhouse Quilts Designs to bring you some awesome ideas. We even created a gift guide that is in the November issue of the AQS magazine with 8 great gifts! Be sure to check out page 19.
But in case you don’t have that magazine yet, here is an idea to get your creative juices flowing!
Holiday Decorating
For the person who loves to decorate for the holidays – how about a few placemats or a festive holiday runner? My pattern Stroll has a quilt on the cover but includes instructions for placemats and a table runner.
My original placemats are not really in holiday colors but how about using this beautiful holiday fabric line from Northcott fabrics called Angels Above?
These placemats are quick and super fun to make and would make a wonderful gift for someone.
Over the next 6 weeks, we plan to show you more ideas on Instagram and on Facebook- twice a week we will post an idea for you. But, just in case you are not on IG or FB, we all also created a page on our websites where we will also upload images and ideas for you!
Our first IG and FB post will be this Saturday October 16th – we will post a gift idea for The Hostess with the Mostest! For the whole schedule, go to my A Maker’s Gift Guide page- click here.
Now, go check out Kris’s blog post to see what groovy idea she has for you and Joanne’s posts- click here for her Fat Quarter Gypsy blog and here for the Swirly Girls blog.
happy quilting!
Kate
