Pop Up Blog Hop Day 10- and a Guest Post

February 18, 2016July 27, 2020 17 comments

I have 2 things going on for you today- a link to today’s blogger for Day 10 of the Pop Up blog hop and a link to my guest post on McCall’s Quilting blog. (And if you read to the end here, another giveaway!)

Today’s blogger for day 10 is Kris of Poorhouse Quilt Designs. Some of you already know Kris, or may at least know her incredibly popular pattern, the Fold’n Stitch Wreath. Kris is so creative; I can’t wait to see what she did with Pop Ups!

Today I am guest blogging over on the McCall’s Quilting blog. I am chatting about my pattern, Twists and Turns that is in the latest issue of McCall’s Quilting magazine.

McCalls Quilting magazine March April 2016

So, would you like a chance to win a copy of the magazine? I have 2 to give away. After you go see my post on the McCalls blog, come back and leave a comment here- leave a guess on how many HSTs there are in that quilt! I will choose a random winner (and no, you don’t have to have guessed the correct number to be eligible!) on Sunday Feb 21 after 9m my time.

Giveaway is closed! Thank you to all who entered.

happy quilting,

Kate

I’ll go with 800. So, if I make this quilt I should get very good at hst!

What a great design…you should be proud! My guess is 620 HST’s. Whatever it was, it was a whole lot of them!

What a beautiful pattern. Looks like 40 HST in one block and just going by the layout on the Diamond Weave, that would be 800 HST. Yowza!! ;-D

I am going to guess 800 because I believe there are 40 in each block.

Looks like there are 800 HSTs. Acck! I don’t think I’ll be making that quilt any time soon, but it is very striking and I really like it.

Great to see the three versions of the quilt. The Diamond weave is my favorite.
