Every now and then, a reader will share with us something they created using either one of our patterns, or some fabric they won from us or…
So today I am going to share a couple of projects with you.
Last year, I participated in a blog hop called Around the Block sponsored by Patchwork Posse. Each blogger designed a block. My block was called Six Stars are Better than One.
Stacy emailed me and asked if she could use the block for a Barn Quilt.
And I said Yes!
Here is the barn quilt she made for a customer. She painted those elements.
This is what she told me: The paisleys were done with hand carved rubber stamps so that they would look uniform. There are six hidden pictures in the paisleys.
The rest is hand painted. The large flowers in the center were modeled after some Norwegian Rosemaling.
So cool!
Linda won a pack of One Nation fabric from P&B Textiles and some Star Singles HST papers.
And here is what she created from a pattern in The Quilter Magazine, May 2003. It is called “Windswept Stars,” by Johanna Wilson.
Linda added the borders and the border stars.
Aren’t they both great?
Thank you to Stacy and Linda for sharing with us!
happy quilting,
Kate
Thank you, Kate. I certainly enjoyed your wonderful prize!
You are welcome Linda!
