Spring Fling – a new batik line and FQ giveaway!!

Hi friends!

Today I am sharing all about my new batik line with Island Batik called Spring Fling!! I love this line and can’t wait to share more with you.

 

And yes, there is a FQ bundle giveaway – information is at the end of this blog post!

 

Spring Fling

As many of you know, I used to wander the Denver Botanic Garden and take lots of pictures. Those pictures and my time there inspired many of my batik lines. Spring Fling is no exception! 

I was there in early spring when there was a beautiful display of tulips. The different lines of colorful flowers was what inspired the color palette of this line. So glorious, so happy!

And so the line ended up with flower motifs and leaves and all things garden.

Isn’t the line fun? It just makes me smile.

The Quilts

For the quilts for this collection, I went with a strip pack design and another one block quilt. 

Heart Beats

Heart Beats was a quilt I designed years ago but never used. I have been meaning to create it and with Spring Fling it finally seemed like the moment.

The quilt starts with a strip pack. A fun finish! 

In Motion

The next quilt is called In Motion because the blocks look like they are spinning!

For this quilt, I even made it into a cross stitch pattern. It has the same name… In Motion but in cross stitch!

UpLift

I have been wanting to do a simple braid tote for a while. And here it is!

UpLift uses strips of different sizes to create braids as the fabric for the front and back of the bag. I liked it so much I even made a second one with premade handles.
