Hi friends!
Today I am sharing about my most recent quilty finish- braid projects that I made as a donation!
ACQ Guild
I belong to a local quit guild called the Arapahoe County Quilt Guild or ACQ for short. They have an annual fundraiser to raise money for their charity projects. They always need backing fabric, quilters, lace and stuff for the CPNLS (Colorado Pregnancy Newborn Loss Services) blankets. This year they are having an auction and I am donating some small quilted projects.
Braid Table Runner and Placemats
I had some leftover fabrics from a project I did last year, kind of country but Christmas feeling fabrics from Riley Blake and I thought… hmmmm… what can I make with these?
A Table Scraps table runner seemed a perfect fit!
The pattern works with my Braid Template and is perfect for a coordinated group of fabrics or even your scraps.
The pattern also includes placemats and I had enough fabric to make 4 placemats- 2 sets of 2 placemats.
I love how these came out!
Braid Pillow
I also wanted to make a pillow. I have this easy pattern called HeadRest and I thought it was the perfect one to coordinate with the table runner and placemats. It is made using my Mini Braid Template and goes together so fast!
I even added a nice finishing touch- a hidden zipper in the back!
Pillows are such a fun way to update your decorating for a season, a holiday or just to change things up. I think I need to make some more for me!
