Quilt Business Retreat
I love quilt retreats. The opportunity to get away with like minded quilters, a little sewing, a little relaxing, a lot of eating and laughing…
And this is kind of like that- excepting instead of making quilts, we are chatting about quilting! We are talking about our goals and plans and helping each other make decisions about what is next for each of us.
There are just 3 of us here at this lovely air bnb in Florida where yesterday we were able to work on our businesses while we relaxed by the pool.
Today we worked inside, then moved to the poolside for more work and then went to the Peace River Botanical and Sculpture garden for inspiration.
Gathering Inspiration
As some of you may know, wandering a garden is one way I like to get inspired. I find it so peaceful to walk along the paths, among the trees and flowers. Even in the winter, a garden can be inspiring.
Of course here in Florida, there are flowers blooming even in winter and this particular garden is by the water- score! Being by the water is another peaceful, zen like place for me.
It is so important to find the time to recharge, to relax and to take a moment, gather memories and get inspired. You know what they say… all work and no play make Kate a dull, dull girl! and for me, play is wandering the garden, being by the water, and sharing ideas with friends.
We have another full day here and then it is back to the cold and ice! I hope you have time this week to find a little moment of rest, relaxation and inspiration!
