It is so hard to believe that April is almost over! How did that happen? This month, the Island Batik ambassador project was called Adventurous Appliqué.
Hmm… what to do? I do like appliqué, there were some really fun fabrics that I could use in my stash of Island Batik fabrics…. what to do? What to do? I could not decide what I wanted to do and then all of a sudden I realized the month was almost over. Yikes!
So I decided to use one of my banner patterns. Then I could hang the quilt outside my front door. I used Tulip Trio as it is perfect for spring.
Love it!
I “appliqué-quilted” the flowers and leaves down with a blanket stitch using my favorite Aurifil threads and then did a little stitch in the ditch quilting.
Doesn’t it look nice especially with my little tulip quilt hanger?
Today is chilly and we may get some rain and snow here thru this weekend so it doesn’t look or feel much like spring but this will brighten my day.
