Hi Friends!
All this month, I have been having an ongoing Christmas in July theme this month – offering fabric giveaways, hosting quilt alongs and creating a block party!
Information on the giveaway is at the end of the post.
Christmas in July – and a fabric giveaway!
This is not a unique theme- do you know why so many companies do a Christmas in July sale? Because sales are slow in July. So I guess I am in the minority because I am not doing a sale, I am doing ANOTHER fabric giveaway!!
The giveaway this week is a strip pack of my new fabric line, Just Dandy.
Just Dandy is out in stores and you may remember 2 weeks ago I gave away a few small FQ bundles.
Strip packs are so fun to use. And there are so many patterns out there for them. I even have some; actually a few of them!
Since this is my post, I will show you a few of my strip pack patterns. I have some that are super easy and some that are a little more complex but not difficult. If you have seen some of my patterns you know I like basic shapes and designs!
Ninth Square
This is a great, super easy quilt pattern. Just a nine patch block with sashings and borders.
I wrote it for squares because I wanted my quilt scrappy but note, it’s easy enough to adjust to your favorite way of sewing strips.
Crossroads
This pattern has star blocks and who doesn’t love stars???
It’s a little trickier than just a basic 9 patch but still very doable.
It’s a remake of a pattern I designed years ago for a shop hop. I cleaned up the instructions to make it clear.
Hop the Fence
Another super easy one!!!
And the pattern has different options for your quilt, borders, no borders….
Jelly Roll Jumble
Another fun one that is fairly simple to piece.
The hardest part is putting the strips into color groups!
Lined
This is one of my postcard patterns.
And another simple design- you just have to pay attentions to the placement!
Lighthouse Steps
Another fun take on horizontal rows making the design.
Crosscut
This one is a braid quilt that uses either a strip pack or a pack of 10″ squares!
And it’s a braid so you know it’s fun to make!
Chopped
Chopped is a fun concept – you make a pieced block and then layer 2 together, sew along the diagonal and chop it in half! A new block that looks complex but isn’t!
And the larger size uses a plain fabric square for the second square and that gives the larger quilt a different look! Two sizes both that use only 1 strip pack!
Ready for this week’s Christmas in July GIVEAWAY????
The Fabric Giveaway
I have this fun pack of Just Dandy to give away! There are 40 strips, each 2 1/2″ x WOF.
Would you like a chance to play with these?
