Hi friends!
I know, I just introduced you to my batik line Winged Things and here is another new batik line Breezy! Due to shipping issues, the 2 lines are coming out in stores close together. Which is great because these 2 lines can work so well together!
Meet Breezy!
I love this line. In my post about Winged Things, I mentioned that it was inspired by trips to the botanic gardens here in Denver. Well, Breezy was also inspired by the gardens, but just by a different season!
Breezy was inspired by the leaves and colors of fall.
I wandered the garden and took pictures of the flowers and leaves…
and then used them to create the line!
Quilts using the new batik line Breezy!
I created a few quilts using Breezy. The fabrics were just so fun to play with!
Paloma
The block in this quilt reminds me of butterflies which is why I named it Paloma.
Of course, with the last line, I did an actual appliquéd butterfly. This one more suggests a butterfly!
Simply Squared
I have always wanted to do a simple quilt that is just squares. And years ago I did a plus sign quilt from Craftsy and wanted to do a different version. SO, I made them into one pattern!!
It’s the same block for both quilt you just reverse the colors.
So fun! Sew simple!
And I love the gradation of color, especially in the square version.
Log Roll
This of you who know me, know I love log cabin quilts! And this has to be one of my favorites!!!
I am having a moment with quilts with gradations of color across the quilts.
Everyone goes through stages…
I love this quilt so much, I am actually making it into a cross stitch pattern as well!
I just stitched out my version and as soon as I get it framed and the pattern ready, it will be up on the website in a new section!
Blustery Day
Blustery Day is a quilt that I actually designed years ago. I had made a couple of versions; one hung in my sewing room every fall!
I knew when I created this batik line that I had to finally make Blustery Day into a pattern!
The leaves can be appliquéd or added as a 3-d for a really cool effect!
And now for the best part… the fabric giveaway!

My favourite season is the Fall as that is when my birthday is, as well as the fact I love the Fall colours and temperature. I love the new colours and the Blustery Day pattern.
I have generally thought of fall as my favorite season — the colors, the cooler temperatures, football, etc. But the last few years I have done a lot of kayaking and wildlife photography and now spring seems like an awfully nice time when everything starts blooming and the birds and animals start moving about. Hard to pick a favorite!
Your fabrics and quilts are gorgeous! I am especially drawn to the Blustery Day and Paloma patterns.
Summer is my favorite season because I love flowers and nature. My quilts reflect the colors I and shapes in my gardens…a bright batiks girl I am.

I love the colors! It’s perfect for the spring after the cold of winter. Summer is my favorite season. I’m drawn to your log roll.

Love the colors!!!
I love the newness of spring but also the colors of fall. I haven’t made a fall quilt for some time and Blustery Day really appeals to me, but Paloma draws me in, too. I agree, your beautiful line does call for a series of color gradations quilts.
Decisions, decisions.
Fall is my favorite season. I really like the 3D leaves on the Blustery Day quilt!
Your new line if fabric is beautiful! Botanic Gardens is a great Denver landmark to visit and I can see how the colors in the plants would offer inspiration!
I love fall and Blustery Day looks so fun to make. I’d like to do it with the leaves appliqued with the 3-D effect – if I only knew how to do that. It is on my list of things to learn. Thanks so much for all of your wonderful inspiration!!
Love the new fabrics in log roll!
Love the fabric and it is perfect for the log roll pattern. I haven’t made a log cabin block in ages!
I love working with batiks. They blend so nicely. My favorite patterns are Blustery Day and Log Roll. I’d probably make both!
Spring is my favorite season! I would love to make Log Roll and Paloma.
I have been waiting for this fabric line to come out so I could make the log roll pattern. The colors are fabulous!
I love the vibrant flow of colors in the fabric. Purple is my favorite color. Summer is my season of choice. I like the Paloma pattern.
What a fun bundle! I really like the Simply Squared quilt how bright and cheerful does that look!!!
Love that you get your inspiration from the Denver Botanic Gardens, my favorite place to visit in Denver. I like the squares and log cabins.
Fall must be different in Denver than it is here in NH. I do love the colors though. I think they look great in the Paloma pattern.

That log roll quilt is pretty special. I am loving the colors of the breezy line. It is refreshing to see today especially since it is a gray gloomy day in the Denver Metro area.
Love this new line of fabrics. I love fall quilts
Fall is my favorite time of year. The colors in New England are glorious and brilliant. Perfect colors for a quilt.
My favorite pattern is Log Roll, all wrapped up in fall colors.
Batiks are my favorite and your patterns make them dazzle
Love Blustery Day and Log Roll. Batiks have such intense color and interesting patterns. Because they are a tighter weave, a joy to sew with (fewer loose threads.) Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilts.

My favorite season has pretty much always been summer. I don’t like the mud in spring, I HATE the cold of winter, and while fall is pretty, it reminds me too much of the coming cold!! 🙂 Your new batiks are absolutely gorgeous, and I could see me making a Blustery Day quilt from them! With my last name, though, I think I’d have to switch out some of the maple leaves for oak leaves. LOL!! Beautiful quilt!!! 🙂
I make a lot of charity quilts and Log Roll would be perfect. Thanks for the giveaway.
My favorite season is Fall. Blustery Day looks fun to make.
Fall is my favorite season followed closely by Spring!

Fall IS my favorite time of year!!! I was born & raised in Michigan and go back to visit when I can – usually in the Fall. These fabrics are a must have for sure. Would love to use them for the Blustery Day pattern.

Beautiful array of colors! It looks great inn Simply Squared. I envision a quilting pattern that will make the quilt pop!
I am addicted to batiks – my favorite fabric of all. I would choose Paloma – we are planting one portion of our front yard this year in pollinator plants – a couple of crazy 70 year olds trying to do our part to help the environment.

Love all the things you are doing with your new fabrics, Kate. Really hate to see you move away from Colorado, but I know you will keep in touch and due to the internet we will still be able to
see all your creations.

I love your patterns. I think the simple cross squares are my favorite. The older I get the easier I need my patterns to be. I love the fabric line too! It’s just gorgeous! Thanks for the chance to win!
What a great line! I know it’s an autumn-themed line, but the colors also have a bit of the “last gasp of summer” to me, with their brightness…probably because by the time we hit autumn I am anticipating months of gray, wet weather here in the Pacific Northwest and am trying to pretend there are still some sunny days in my future. As to my pattern choice, I’d go with Log Roll: so “clean” and direct, such good energy.
I love the new line. It is truly inspired by nature. Love the quilt patterns also, hard to choose my favorite.
Love the new fabric. The patterns make me want to start sewingthem.
Gorgeous fabrics as usual
Log cabin for me to do
