New quilt #3!
Sparkles!
Love this quilt.
Elizabeth’s version is wonderful.
What do we love about this quilt? Well, as the name suggests, the stars sparkle!
And we love how the piecing frames the stars, and the secondary pattern the blocks make as they come together.
And, of course, the wonderful quilting our quilters did- Crystal Zagnoli of the Quilted Cricket quilted the yellow version; Sandi Verbridge of Sandi’s Quilted Touch did the green version. Aren’t they great?
Our directions tell you exactly how you can just use your regular ruler with the 45° line to cut those trapezoids, so don’t shy away! Easy!
But we did also try using the House Ruler by Creative Grids designed by our friend Susan Knapp and Mary Jane Mattingly of the Quilt Branch and that was a great way to go as well. So you have two options- try one or both!
So, pop over to Sparkles! and get started- you will be so happy!
happy quilting,
Kate
