Hi all! How has your week been going? I had a lot of fun at my retreat; stayed up late sewing, laughed, ate tons of food…
A good time was had by all. I think I mentioned that I did not know most of the people going on the retreat but they were all wonderful. So nice.
I got my block exchange quilt top, back and binding done. The back is pieced and it took almost as long to put together as the top! Now I just need someone to quilt it and it can be completely checked off the list!
This weekend my guild is having a quilt show and yesterday I volunteered to help. I helped with the photo process- carrying quilts to be photographed, returning them to their table, taking the next quilt… too bad I don’t wear one of those step trackers. I did a lot of steps today! And I saw some great quilts.
This month, in the July/August issue of McCall’s Quilting, I have 2 quilts! How cool is that?
I have my Basket Sampler quilt, made with fabrics from the Riley Blake line Floribella. Lovely fabrics! Did you notice the little bit of my quilt that is on the cover?? Woo hoo!
And my Sunny Squares quilt made from batik fabrics from the Tonga Bird of Paradise collection by Judy and Judel Niemeyer for Timeless Treasures.

Sounds like a grand time was had at the retreat! I have only been to ones held at a friend’s house. Would love to do one where we didn’t have to worry about the cooking or cleaning up.
