Say hello to Ribbon Candy, our version of a scrap quilt!
Or should I call it a “stash quilt”?
We wanted to make this quilt work with a group of FQs.
We all have those lying around right?
Ribbon Candy needs 7 FQs to get you started.
Only have 6 in your stash? No worries- just grab a coordinating dot, tone on tone, chevron… whatever works with your group of fabrics.
Pick 2 coordinating fabrics and a background and get to work!
Don’t you love the green ribbon running thru mine?
And what is great is that my FQs were a wonderful Riley Blake line from a few years ago- but I was able to find a solid blue and a green dot that went perfectly! So no worries if you don’t have fabrics from the same line- mine werent’!
The quilting on this quilt was done by Crystal of The Quilted Cricket. Wonderful!
Our friend Sharon, who tests for us, made hers from her scrap bag- she pulled FQs and got to work!

So pull out some FQs, grab the pattern and get to work!
I am planning to make another one in yellows and grays- doesn’t that sound great?
