Happy St Patrick’s Day!
This week I have been piecing, designing, more piecing… a fun week so far! I decided to get caught up on a couple of my BOMs- it is only March and I am already behind. Not good!
Here are my February and March blocks for the Sugar Block Club BOM.
And my March block for Pat Sloan’s My Secret Garden Mystery BOM.

I am WAay behind in the Splendid Sampler. Two blocks a week is tough- but now I am 5 blocks behind…Yikes! I can’t decide whether to jump in where I am or work on past blocks. We’ll see.
I will be like Scarlett O’Hara and think about that tomorrow!
Today my focus is working on my 2 new patterns: a braid table runner and placemat pattern and a quilt that will use FQs and have 3 sizes: baby, lap and queen bed size.
Here is a sneak peak of the braid:

And one of the baby quilt:

I think one of the hard things about deciding on what sizes to put in a quilt pattern is that, even if I list that a quilt is a queen size, “queen” size means different things to different people. It can go from 90″ x 94″ to over 100″ depending on how much you want the quilt to drape of the sides of the bed!
So I have decided to stop worrying about it and just label it a queen if it is over 90″. Works for me.
I almost forgot to show you- I also worked on my new Slats pillow from the Lines by Design Quilts book to go with my runner. Here it is pieced and quilted. I just need to do the back and it will be done!

(Hey, Karen S- have you started one yet? I may even do a second one in mostly solids!)
I really had fun with the quilting. Straight lines. I love straight lines!

What are you working on this week? Whatever it is, I hope you are having fun.
happy quilting,
Kate
p.s. In case you did not see them, I have a couple of kits for patterns in the shop. I have 2 kits left for Knights at Play and 1 kit left for Tumbled. Click here to see them.
