Hi friends!

Did you have a good weekend?
I hope everyone did.
On Saturday, I went down to Castle Rock to a lovely quilt shop Sew-Ciety to chat with the ladies who come to her monthly Weekend Sampler meeting.
They hear about new products and I was able to say hi and show off my Braid Template and my new pattern Table Scraps.
It was fun!

Then I came home and sewed a few of my The Splendid Sampler blocks. I am SO FAR behind! I think I only had 2 blocks done before other things took precedence. That is OK.
Do you ever start something like a BOM and then get behind and never catch back up?
I have, mostly because, once I am behind, it feels so overwhelming to try to catch up. So I abandon the whole thing.
This time, I have decided to cut myself a break. If I am behind, who cares? It is not a contest for me; it is a learning experience. So I will make blocks when I can and be sure to at least download all the blocks so I am ready.
Here are the 3 blocks I made on Saturday afternoon.
This one I had all the fabric picked out and set aside. The large heart is for my family. The two hearts are on the right are Jim and I- mom and dad.
The 3 hearts on the bottom are the kids. And I made each of their hearts in two colors as each of my kids has a special someone in their life- Sean and his smart, lovely wife Rea, Scott and his sweet girl Jocelyn and Alyssa and her fun hubby Jeff.

This one was quick and easy to whip up- and fun!

And I like how this one came out.

And yes, it is true. I did not go in order! Uh oh, don’t tell the quilt police.
As for the other BOMS, well, I am behind on them too but here are some of the May links for you!
Aurifil BOM 2016– this is the link to the April block- you still have time to make one and enter a picture of your block for a chance to win something- the deadline is May 14th!

OK- onto the winners from the Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks giveaway!
Catherine Kirk, Ali and usairdoll!
