Quilt Patterns

A fun, quick quilt pattern

January 22, 2016July 28, 2020 60 comments

Sometimes, some people mention how much I like tiny pieces and HSTs and small blocks…. so… for my last quilt pattern I tried to think BIG!

Bubbles was the result.
Easy Quilt by Seams Like a Dream
Bubbles

(spoiler alert- there is a giveaway at the end!)

I love this fabric line from P&B called Soft Dreams and I had a lot of fun playing with it. Of course, you can make Bubbles in a lot of different fabrics and colors.

Here is an EQ version in pinks and yellow-

Easy circle quilt

What about red,white and blue?

Or aqua and coral?

So many options- I could play in EQ with this all day! What I love about this quilt is how quickly it goes together. You can use some pretty big prints in the large sections and then just have fun with the bubbles! Fusible appliqué makes this easy- just fuse to your fabric, cut them out, position them and iron them on! Done! I also stitched around the edges because I like that look, but you don’t have to.

How about a little Bubbles giveaway? Leave me a comment and tell me what colors you might like to do Bubbles in. I will draw one winner on Sunday night January 24th, after 9pm my time to win a copy of the Bubble quilt pattern. Then, if you don’t win, starting on Monday, I will have a sale going on for the pattern. A win-win!

And if you want 2 chances to win, leave a second comment if you get the newsletter already or if you sign up for it. You have to leave the second comment to get the second chance!

happy quilting,

Kate

I do love the colors you chose for your actual quilt — those are mostly my go-to colors. I have also experimented with bright blues and lime green and maybe a bit of yellow on a navy background — that might be worth considering for this pattern with the navy in place of the white. Might give it a whole new look.
