Hi friends!
Today is my day on the Globetrotter Blog Hop!
What is Globetrotter? It’s an awesome fabric line designed by Tammy Silvers for Island Batik. I was lucky enough to get to play with the fabric last spring.
I was challenged to use the fabric in a small project that could be used in Tammy’s booth at spring Quilt Market. I had been working on a new pattern and thought it would be perfect for this as there was a runner as part of the pattern.
The pattern is called Split Strip and here is the runner:
I quilted the runner using straight lines.
I had so much fun making the runner, I decided to use the fabric to make a quilt as well. This is an EQ image as the quilt is currently traveling and I don’t have a picture of it!
The fabrics are a fun mix of images inspired by travel- suitcases, travel signs and places on Tammy’s bucket list! I love the colors. Not my usual color choices which is why it was so fun to use them. Inspired me to try new color palettes!
Here is the whole line:

And here is the whole list of bloggers: be sure to visit them all and see what they created using Tammy’s fabric!
My small rulers tend to be scattered but I do keep the really large ones on nails behind my sewing room door. They are out of the way and I always know where to find them.
Wow very very nice tytyty love the colors you got and the table runner is very cool..
I have an letter holder from my desk that is perfect for small rulers on my sewing table!
My hubby made me a storage stand. He took a piece of scrap lumber and cut slits vertically across it, about 1 – 1 and a half inches apart. It is pretty thick, so very stable. I can put rulers in the slots, but also have room in between to store other rulers. He is pretty handy!!
i use a pegboard and ruler nest from humming bird highway.
Your table runner is striking in those fabrics. I have more rulers than my holder (made by a friend’s talented hubby) can handle.
My rulers are not organized at all. I often find them hiding under fabrics on my sewing table.
