Hi friends! How are you today?
Can you believe this is the last full week of January? I think January flew by- which is weird. Usually it feels like the longest month to me. We still have a bunch of winter weather left to get thru though!
Don’t get me wrong; back when I skied, I loved winter. And I still like those snowy Sunday afternoons, curled up under a warm quilt, with a book, the fire and my kitty. That sounds wonderful to me. Maybe with some tea or hot chocolate. And a snack.
Of course, the snow does not always wait for Sunday. How rude!
Want a fun way to keep warm this winter? Check out my Kozy Q Scarf!
I wanted to make an infinity scarf using leftover bits of fabric and I finally settled on this pattern. It uses 4-8 fabrics, has 3 sizes and 2 different ways to make it- long or as an infinity scarf!
This one below is probably my all time favorite- it has a pieced section on one side and fur like cuddle from Shannon fabrics on the other! So warm and snuggly.
And it is so easy to make!
You may wonder where the name came from. One of my quilt guild friends, Stephanie, has a cat whose name is Kozy Q. Isn’t she sweet?
And I just loved her name and thought it would be fun to name the scarf after her. I already have 4 quilt patterns named after cats- why not add another one!
How about a sale? For this last week of January, order the Kozy Q Scarf pattern and get $2 off another pattern of your choice. Offer good thru Jan 31 at 9pm my time. Use the code kozy2.
happy quilting,
Kate
Oh- and if you need a quick Valentines runner or coasters for a gift or to dress up the table for the day, here is a link to my post from last year (or the year before that?) with a free tutorial!
