Have you seen the patterns by the Fat Quarter Gypsy called Pop Ups?
You may wonder what’s a Pop Up? Well, they are containers that also collapse, so when you want to put them away or take them with you, they fold practically flat!
The designer, Joanne from Fat Quarter Gypsy started a Pop Up partner program. She asked other designers to make pop ups using their own designs.
I thought- that sounds like fun! So using my pattern, Little Bits of Love, I made a large and a medium stacking pop up.
What do you think? Aren’t they cute? I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy making them, but surprise! It was fun and not very hard either!
I sent Joanne the information on how to use my hearts blocks and turn them into the outside of the pop up. She created a free PDF that explains everything you need and includes my how -to on turning my blocks into the outside panel. And the free PDF that tells what you need to make your own pop up is on my free pattern page.
Next up will be a pop up using my Tulip Trio pattern!
Or maybe my Lucky Seven and the shamrocks. Or …. so many options!
Want a chance to win a Pop up pattern, springs and my pattern? In February, Joanne is hosting a Pop Up blog hop from Feb 8th-19th! On my day, Feb 11th, I will be hosting a giveaway of the two patterns you will need and a package of one set of springs.
Sound like fun? I think it will be. In the meantime, I will be doing another giveaway this Thursday. So come back and see what I have got going then!
happy quilting,
Kate
These pop ups would be so useful in my craft room. I would like to have several to keep items together for unfinished projects.
The Pop-Ups are so much fun! I’m making the largest size for a laundry hamper for my college boy.
