Hi friends!
I wanted to share the other 3 ReImagine projects I made during the Finishing School Challenge. I had a lot of fun making them out of my stash using my orphan blocks!
In my post on January 28th, I shared the first finished project- my ReStore bin made using a paper pieced quilt block that showed lighthouses.

ReSet Placemats
Next up on our list was the ReSet placemat pattern. I looked to see if I had 2 blocks that would look good as placemats and these butterfly blocks seemed perfect. I didn’t want to make just 1 placemat!!

A bit of spring during a snowy winter season! I found a bit of coordinating fabric in my stash and got to work!
Didn’t they come out great! I’m so happy with them.
ReCover Apron
The next pattern Kris and tackled was the ReCover Apron. I found this block in my stash and thought it would be perfect.

Then I found coordinating fabric in my stash and ta-done!
I love the big pocket on the apron.
RePack
Lastly we were remaking RePack, the backpack pattern. I had already made a few of them using my leftover blocks.

I cut some fabric wrong as I was making this so it didn’t EXACTLY follow the pattern but when you are making projects from orphan blocks and your stash, it doesn’t need to! You can adjust to make it work with your fabrics.
It came out pretty cute though!
And Kris and I have enjoyed seeing what projects you all are working on! We have tried to contact the winners of the Finishing School Challenge and hope to ship them their fabrics soon.
My Next UFO Project
What’s next for you? What UFO blocks or orphan bocks are you working on? I am working on this nine patch quilt and hope to do a little every week and have a finished quilt top soon!

We’ll see how it goes. I finally found fabric in my stash for the sashing squares – I am using the wrong side of a yellow fabric!

The rows are laid out (I am using my pattern Ninth Square to determine sizes) and a few rows are sewn together. Progress!

happy quilting!
Kate
