Hi friends!
The Holiday season- is it good or is it stressful? Or is it both?
I was reflecting on this just the other day. In the past, when my kids were little, it was fun but stressful. I was working FT as a nurse, had 3 children to care of and a lot of nieces and nephews to buy gifts for!
I think one of my favorite times back then, besides watching everyone open their gifts and be so excited, was when I would go shopping. I LOVED walking around with 3 or 4 of those large shopping bags with the handles, filled to the top with gifts.
I felt so good. Happy that I was accomplishing something, happy to know I was going to make some little kids happy…
It was magical.
These days, with all those kids grown and scattered, I know to find the joy in other ways. I always loved decorating for the holidays. And I plan this week to decorate my apartment with my favorite holiday things- my little village, my Christmas quilts, my Spode dinnerware.
What are you favorite holiday decorations?
In a couple of weeks, I will share some upcoming plans for 2024! There are some batik Instagram and blog hops coming in early 2024 along with blog posts about new quilt patterns.
In the meantime… happy quilting!
Kate
P.S. Did you see my new products?
I have been playing around with a 2024 wall calendar, notepads and some fun butterfly stickers that you can use on your water bottle or on your sewing machine to pretty it up! Click here to see the new stuff! They would make great stocking stuffers!
