A few months back Susan Emory of Swirly Girls asked me if I would like to participate in her Little Lovelies mini quilt series. Of course I said yes!
How could I say no?
Since my month was January, I immediately thought of snow. I knew my version of my quilt had to have snowflakes and white and blue. I found in my stash some great blue and white snowflake fabric from a line called Winter Parade by Leanne Anderson for Henry Glass. And this is the quilt I made.
Like it?
I had so much fun making it and quilting it.
Today over on Susan’s blog you can see her version of my Little Lovely Lily– how many of you know where that name came from?
So click here or on the picture of the quilt to go to her blog because that is where you can get the free PDF pattern and enter the giveaway!
And it is a great giveaway!
And here is where you can get the free MINI mini pattern!
What you say? A second free pattern? YES!
You see, as I was making the Lily quilt, I was cutting off these cute little triangles. And it seemed a shame to waste them so I designed a cute MINI mini quilt just for them!
I tried some matchstick quilting in the white areas and that really seemed to make the blues stand out. Not all of my lines are even but who cares? Not me! As soon as the Christmas decorations come down, this mini quilt and the MINI mini quilt will decorate my house quite nicely for the winter.
Click here or on the pictures of the MINI mini quilt to go to my free pattern page and get your copy of the MINI mini pattern. If you make a MINI mini, send me a pic!
Happy New Year- I hope 2016 is good to you!
happy quilting,
Kate
