Hi friends!
How are you? This time of year is very busy for me as Quilt Market is coming up again in May. So I am working hard to get new patterns ready to go, making the quilts, taking photos, creating handouts… the list of TO DO items is long!
So I have not done some other quilty stuff. š
Of course, either way I get to make quilts, so I guess it is all OK!
One project I can’t wait to start uses this wonderful pile of fabrics from my friend Josie Severson – she sells these fabrics here on her website and on her ETSY site.
She has canvas fabric, cotton jersey, cotton sateen (which is what I am using), organic fabric and other home goods like pillows and coasters all using her hand drawn designs. They are super cool!
I have been anxious to start playing with the fabrics as they have been here for a while and I just love how they feel. The plan is to make a crib quilt version of ZigZagNoli. But other time sensitive projects took precedence. But, next week I go away for a few days to a retreat and this project is on my quilt retreat TO DO list!!!
I can’t wait!
What projects are you up to right now?
This week on Monday I was able to visit with the Columbine Quilt Guild in Arvada, CO. I showed off some of my quilts and patterns doing a trunk show and lecture and had a chance to chat with some of the members. they are a really nice group of quilters! In a couple of weeks, I will be able to visit with another guild in Parker CO. I love chatting with quilters!
OK- time for me to get back to work and finish up a few of these new projects so I can start on my Zig ZagNoli quilt.
happy quilting to all!
Kate
p.s. Next Monday I will be posting about a collaboration I am doing with my friend Kirstyn Cogan – it will include a fun giveaway so be sure to stop back here then!
Kate, thank you just received your first notice and just love it. You are introducing me to some wonderful NEW things. Waiting for the next news!!
